[NEWS] 130424 A Cube Entertainment responds to questions raised about Yookyung’s departure from A Pink

With the sudden news of Yookyung leaving A Pink, fans have been raising questions regarding the true nature of her departure.

A Cube Entertainment previously announced through a press release that the idol had decided to leave after much thought to focus on her education. Since then, there have been questions and speculations flooding in regarding Yookyung’s admittance into university as well as if she voluntarily left or if the agency decided on her departure.

Regarding the speculations about whether Yookyung had received special treatment when accepted into her university, A Cube Entertainment shot down the rumors, commenting, “The person who is having the most difficult time right now is Yookyung, but even then, there are rumors and speculations pouring in about her university admittance… Yookyung took the same steps and process as other students, and it was not through special admittance.”

In addition, two ambiguous posts, from whom netizens speculate to be Yookyung’s father, caused questions about whether Yookyung’s leave really is actually to focus on studies or whether she was kicked out.

The posts read, “Since we live only once, we shouldn’t betray [one another]. It will come back to us like a boomerang. That’s how the world works,” and “@yookyunggom Thank you for these past times.. and sorry about you having to work hard to run ‘hongyookyungdotcom’. It will be hard for Yookyung too. Just suddenly received the notice a month ago… Please be healthy and become successful.”

Since the posts left things up for interpretation due to their ambiguous nature, some fans raised questions about whether the first post was referring to Yookyung’s leave and whether “just suddenly received the notice a month ago” meant that Yookyung and her family were suddenly notified by the agency of their decision to replace her. However, others also took it to mean that Yookyung’s father was talking about having received notice from his daughter about her own decision a month ago.

When contacted about these posts and whether this account really belonged to Yookyung’s father, A Cube commented, “It’s something we need to be cautious about.. We have to check into this.” They also added, “After her leave, rumors are following. We’re just worried for Yookyung with all these baseless rumors floating around.”

Yookyung’s depart from APink

ACUBE anounced that Yookyung left APink due to her study commitments.

A-Pink.net wished Yookyung all the best in her studies and future. We will always remember her as member of APink.

We should support her from now on and stop spreading rumours. The rumours will make her feel worse and cause the problem getting more serious. 

Also, let’s accept the new members with love and support. We can’t hate her just because she’ll replace Yookyung. 
We must support APink forever and always.

<Jung Eunji>

You definitely shined *other words of famous* last year. And now its 2013, what is your goal this year?

Work hard and at the end, I hope I would see a great result of all the effort I’ve done. I don’t want to regret anything this year.

<The Winter the Wind Blows> has been released. Last year, at <Reply 1997> you worked with Seo In Guk, and now in this drama, you worked with Kim Bum. Is there any difference between these two actors?

First of all, it is hard to find a big difference between the actors, Seo In Guk and Kim Bum.  But acting with different actors, I need to familiar myself with their different acting skills. It is a bit tough but also fun/exciting.

After debuting as a singer, you focused more on acting. What is the charms and differences of a singer and an actress?

The charm of being a singer is that you can look at your fans eye to eye. It is exciting and fun. When I sing a sad song, they would look at me melancholy. When I sing a happy song, they would enjoy the song and have fun. When you sing, you would know their response by looking at their expression. And when I go down the stage, I feel touched. But when you act and it airs on TV, the viewers can compliment it right away. And that nervousness waiting for the response is the feeling you can’t feel as a singer. When I look at the people feeling touched at my acting skills, it amazed me

Your Busan Satoori is your ‘one of kind’ trademark. It would be hard for you to not use your Busan satoori. but I heard in this drama, you don’t use it.

While reading the script, I’m worried that I couldn’t use my Busan satoori. But what concerns me the most is my acting skills. I want to learn more and I want to do my best.

Summer is coming soon. What is your fashion style during summer?

Lately, I’ve been wearing skinny jeans and a tshirt with cardigan. But I like wearing training suit the most. Wearing what is comfortable is the best.

What bag fits your style?

Having a bag is a must for me. Especially when I need to bring a lot of things, I use a stylish backpack. Lately, I want to use a stylish backpack that can be useful for many fashion items.

It’s been two years since your debut. When you think of your debut day, what do you feel like?

Time flies so fast. 2 years has passed already and I have to be more responsible. And I think it is the time to take of the ‘rookies’ name. And the feeling of more responsibility burdens me. But of course, since the debut day, my heart doesn’t change. I want to be known as a person who works hard wherever I go.

What do you think of your Chorong unnie and Naeun?

Now it feels like a family that you can’t be apart. It doesn’t go only for Chorong unnie and Naeun but it goes to all our apink members. Even when there is some misunderstandings, we are like a tie that can’t be cut off. Chorong unnie looks like fierce in the outside but actually she is tender inside. Everyone is lovely. And Naeun works hard in whatever she does. That is why I need to learn a lot from her.

Your name really suits you. I heard your nickname is the ‘Martial Arts Girl’, since when do you practice and how strong are you?

I naturally study Hapkido at sixth grade because my father is head of a hapkido training center. I practiced hapkido every day without missing one day for eight years. Even though I practiced hard, I think my heart is weak and timid. But through practicing, I didn’t think much about it and it mantained everything.

You have a big responsibility. As the oldest unnie, you need to take care of your younger members but do you remember a time when you experienced good and tiring situation with the members?

It is true I have the big responsibility but when I get along with the members, I don’t feel tired. Our members are the type of people that would do their own responsibility/business. As the leader, I need to be the strongest and brightest but I’m the member that cries the most. In 2013, I want to be a stronger unnie.

Jung Eunji and Son Naeun is in the midst of filming their dramas. But among the members, you are the first to try acting. What do the members think about you?

Although I’m the first member to try acting, I admit that Eunji and Naeun are still better than me. Especially when they told me that they’re going to try acting, instead of anticipating it, I feel worried but suprisingly they were so good. I need to learn a lot from them

Like your name, the bright summer is coming soon. The season that fits you the most. What’s your summer fashion?

To be honest, I’m not the type that looks good aon a feminime clothes. This year I’m turning 23 years old and I still like wearing sports shoes. I like colorful clothes especially jackets. My style is a combination of casual and feminine clothes. But the most important is when you wear something that is comfortable. It is the best!

What kind of bag fits your style?

Rather than carrying small bags, I’m a person who likes to carry big bags.  After turning 23 years old, I think I’m becoming not interested into bags.

Now it has been 2 years since your debut. Time really flies after APink debuted. What do you feel when you look at the past?

Last year, I regret for not having much activities. It feels like yesterday I debuted but it has been two years since I debuted as a singer and I feel amazed and happy. Until now, with no regrets APink has done many activities. We’ll work harder in the future.

What’s the difference between APink’s Park Chorong and Park Chorong in a normal daily life?

I look like a fairy as an APink member? If you know me, I’m really a tough girl. My elementary alumni friends were shocked when they saw me in the MV ‘Mollayo’. Many friends of mine were shocked.

<Son Naeun>

Finally you’re turning 20 years old this year. What’s the difference when you’re at 10s and now 20 y.o?

I thought that I’ve changed a lot since now I’m 20 years old but after thinking again, nothing is changed. But now since I’m an adult I have more responsibility and I need to think first before I do something. Only the number has changed but my heart is still as a ten year old girl. And now that I’m 20 years old, I want to get my driver license and I want to enjoy my university days.

You’re in the midst of filming your drama and movie. What diffentiate you as a singer and an actress?

As a rookie of a singer and an actress, I need to work very hard. I believe in myself. As a singer, I have members that would accompany and help me but as an actress, I’m all alone and that makes me to be more mature. In acting, I became sensitive since I need to do my best.

What do you think of your unnies Chorong and Eunji?

I think Chorong unnie and I are quite similar. We are the type that can’t talk to others first/come to others first. Chorong unnie tends to keep her sadness in herself. It would be great if she let it out and share it to the members. But Eunji unnie is very different. She the kind of unnie who tell us what she feels and ask for our opinions. But as an unnie, she decides all by herself.

It has been two years since you debuted in a young age. Do you have a change in yourself during this two years period?

Before I debuted, I really don’t know the world but now as I’m getting older, I know more? And also I experienced much pain at those times. I think I’m getting stronger. And now in the future, I think I will get stronger and more responsible.

To the 20 year old Son Naeun, I think you don’t fit well with the season summer. What kind of summer fashion that would make you look beautiful?

In 2013, I’m anticipating summer to come. And I want to try to wear clothes that are unique and new in this kind of season. I think tshirt and jeans fits me the best.

What kind of bag fits your style?

For us, a bag is a must-item. Among the members, bags are quite famous, and I’m a type of person that always carries a bag. Wherever I go, I would just put things in the bag and it is quite comfortable. And of course, my coordinator/stylist always chooses a bag that suits me. I like a colorful bag.

Although we like you as an actress, your fans are waiting for your comeback as a singer. When will you have your comeback?

Throughout the year, we now have 1 album. I feel so sorry and sad to our fans that waited for us. I just want to get on the stage right now but I need to wait longer and practice harder to show a better side of us. We are preparing something so please wait for us!!

What’s the difference between APink’s Son naeun and the 20 year old Son Naeun in a normal daily life?

As a member of APink, I think I need to communicate more to the unnies and dongsaengs since I’m the center. As a 20 year old Son Naeun, I want to be an extrovert rather than an introvert and I want to be more active in what I do.  I want to show my feelings and emotions more to others.
